Pittsburgh Charter Schools is a collaborative effort of seven Allegheny County charter school organizations. The goal of this effort is to provide the public with information on best practices in the public education/school choice sector. The purpose of both this informational website and our current Pittsburgh Business Times series of articles is to begin a dialogue with stakeholders about successful models of public education and school choice in our community. We believe it is important that stakeholders become aware of best practices in public education and support the successful efforts of Pittsburgh's charter school entrepreneurs. We hope to build a constituency of charter school advocates among the Pittsburgh business, education and non-profit communities.
The consortium of schools includes Career Connections Charter High School, City Charter High School, Imagine Environmental Charter School at Frick Park, Manchester Academic Charter School, Northside Urban Pathways Charter School, Propel Schools and The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh Charter School.
